What has been your favorite episode so far?
ReplyDelete-Ep. 5 where John lies his way out of fighting the scarecrows, it's great seeing players come up w/ innovative solutions rather than trying to hack through all the bad guys.
Should feedback be its own episode?
-No. With the biweekly release schedule it's hard enough to contain the excitement for actual story advancing stuff!
Would you like to see the episodes longer? Shorter? Are they just right?
-I like the length currently.
Would you be interested in extra material? If so, what kinds? (Character perspective journals, supplemental photos, etc)
-Yes to all of the above, but especially photos- for example I think I know what the looked like Once picked up, but it would be fun seeing exactly what the Storyteller had in mind. NPC portraits are always good too!
Any comments on the sound quality?
-Sounds good on my iTunes, but I haven't tried downloading it any other way...
Is there any particular thing that would make the episodes more enjoyable?
-Maybe if there were a special event at some point, say at a certain episode number, and assuming you guys had the equipment, a video episode might be fun. Other than something random like that, nothing comes to mind!
Would you like to hear about other cool Changeling or White Wolf things in the Greater Gaming World?
-One thing that might be really cool if you could arrange it, would be something like a 15-30 second advertisement between some of the WoD podcasts. So maybe one week there's an advertisement for KotN before the actual podcasting, and vice versa for them. Or perhaps even site banners between the various groups.
It would require some work between the people running the podcasts, but it would be great to get the word out. I personally found out about you all from KotN, and it would be great to see more listeners getting to experience all the wonderful content that is out there!

-Are there any future plans for AP's set in other NWoD settings, or even other games (I.e Dresden, etc.)?
-Will you be shifting back to the weekly release schedule at any point?

I liked the way you tied up chapter one with the recap and feedback. I wouldn't split that into two episodes though.

Character journals and photos would be awesome. I love that the character pictures and sheets are posted. It gives me something to link with the voice.

Sound quality has been great for me so far.

Nothing I can think of off hand. I am really enjoying listening in on an actual game.

If you made a separate pod cast covering that stuff I would definitely listen. I would hate to see it take away from the actual play stuff though.

Nope! I like that you guys are interested in feedback.
I've only gotten part way through it (having trouble making the link to part 4 take me anywhere but a blank page or a 'open a new blog' ad), but I was really impressed by the description of Talecrafting. I'd avoided using it to date in my games because it seemed a stretch. But that made me want to try to create good opportunities.
ReplyDeleteEpisodes are about the right length. Any longer and I'd just have too much trouble finishing one.

ReplyDeleteOff the record, it looks like we may be able to revert to the weekly release schedule very soon! Chris is doing a fabulous job helping me with the editing and we may be getting another person to help us out as well.
Also, we should be releasing some extra materials in the coming weeks. I will be posting up Once's journals here on the site soon and there will definitely be more photos and other materials too!

We're planning a special Christmas episode and we're thinking about possibly doing a video-cast... Stay tuned for information on that front
I'll be chatting with some other podcasters and look into doing some short promos. Shane has some *AWESOME* promos planned for our podcast.
Regarding other actual plays, we are TOTALLY going to be delving into some different settings. We touched on this briefly in our feedback episode for Chapter 1, but we'll go into more detail soon.

I was thinking about posting up here on the blog about some cool podcasts/stuff I've found on the web. I don't think we have enough material (or time, at this point) for another podcast. I'm liking the promo idea that Anonymous (the First) mentioned though. Short but informative.
Chris has let the Storyteller Tool shift to the back burner while I've been teaching him about the audio editing (his first podcast all by himself goes up tomorrow). Hopefully he'll be able to get back to working on it soon.

ReplyDeleteSeries 1, Episode 6 is my favourite so far for several reasons. Firstly it highlights the slightly odd nature of Changeling, secondly there is some great background info on the Lord of Sixes; one of The Gentry. Finally there is some fantastic character and NPC interaction

ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback! I love to hear from listeners (especially when they also play Changeling).
I too have noticed the background clicking on some episodes when listening in iTunes (especially the most recent episode and the one to be released next week). Chris and I are playing around with the sound editing to see if we can eliminate or at least reduce that background noise.
I'm currently working on formatting Once's journals that will be released (hopefully!) on Friday or Saturday of this week. I'll be chatting with our other players to see if they are also interested in putting up similar additional information. NPC information is also something that I'm toying with at this point, but I hope to get some going soon.
